EchoRTX Specification

Version: 0.1

Status: Draft

Date: July 1, 2026

Overview

This specification defines the architecture, components, and relationships that comprise the EchoRTX system.

EchoRTX is the structured observation system defined for observing and communicating Digital Position.

Purpose

The purpose of this specification is to establish the architectural structure of the EchoRTX system.

This specification defines the relationships between the components that comprise EchoRTX.

System Architecture

The EchoRTX system consists of the following primary components:

  • EchoRTX
  • EchoLens
  • Digital Positioning Layer (DPL)
  • Echo Reports

Each component serves a distinct architectural function within the EchoRTX system.

System Components

EchoRTX

EchoRTX defines the architecture, observation model, and primary components of the EchoRTX system.

EchoLens

EchoLens provides the observational perspective through which the Digital Positioning Layer (DPL) is observed.

Digital Positioning Layer (DPL)

The Digital Positioning Layer (DPL) provides the conceptual layer within which Digital Position is observed.

Echo Reports

Echo Reports communicate observations regarding an entity’s Digital Position.

System Relationships

Within EchoRTX:

  • EchoLens provides the observational perspective.
  • The Digital Positioning Layer (DPL) provides the conceptual layer.
  • Digital Position is observed within the DPL.
  • Echo Reports communicate observations regarding Digital Position.

Together, these components comprise the EchoRTX system.

System Boundaries

EchoRTX is observational in nature.

EchoRTX does not:

  • Optimize
  • Rank
  • Recommend
  • Govern
  • Certify
  • Measure performance

Documentation Hierarchy

The EchoRTX documentation hierarchy consists of:

  • EchoRTX
  • Overview
  • Digital Positioning Layer (DPL)
  • EchoLens
  • Echo Reports
  • Terminology
  • EchoRTX Specification
  • Echo Report Specification

Together, these documents define the EchoRTX system.
